I was looking up and saw a patch of light that looked like spilled milk. to the bottom of it was a triangle of lights. The triangle moved over the patch of light, and as it touched the light, the light disappeared as if it was being “wiped up”. As soon as the triangle had passed over the light, it disappeared. My friends saw this too and couldn’t explain it, they said it was probably a plane but what about the weird light? What could this have been? Was it a UFO?Best answer:

Yes it was a UFO because UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. You saw an object you were unable to identify, therefore it is by definition a UFO.Do I think it was an alien spaceship with a cloaking device? No.

How about a sun dog? Sometimes they are quite colorful, and though common, a LOT of people have never seen one.
The milky area probably was a cloud illuminated by the lights on a plane. When the plane passed, the cloud was no longer illuminated and disappeared from view.
