New England Legends Television Series on PBS Investigates the Mysteries, Monsters, Ghosts, and History of New England

If we’re to believe the history books, folklore, and thousands of eyewitnesses over the last few centuries, New England is full of ghosts, monsters, and other mysteries that are more than just campfire tales. On October 31st at 10 PM, PBS affiliate WGBY in Springfield will premiere New England Legends, a new television series that follows adventurer and author Jeff Belanger as he explores these many tales around New England.

Two half-hour episodes will air back-to-back on October 31st: “The Spooky Berkshires” and “Mysteries in Stone.” “The Spooky Berkshires” examines the tragic history of the Houghton Mansion in North Adams, Massachusetts, and its century-old haunting, then heads up to October Mountain in the Berkshires to chase down stories of Bigfoot sightings, UFOs, and the ghost of a young girl said to haunt an abandoned cemetery somewhere deep in the woods.

“Mysteries in Stone” takes viewers north of Boston to a 4,000-year-old calendar in Salem, New Hampshire dubbed “America’s Stonehenge,” before heading south to Lynn Woods on Boston’s North Shore to explore tales of pirates, buried treasure, and a man who spent his life tunneling through solid rock because spirits told him he’d find gold.

“This isn’t a ghost-hunting show,” said Host and Executive Producer Jeff Belanger. “Legends are living, breathing things. They define our communities as much as the buildings or the people who came before us. New England Legends will explore those tales from the fringe that make living in New England that much more interesting.”

Belanger partnered with Tony Dunne, who wrote and produced the documentary Things That Go Bump in the Night: Tales of Haunted New England back for PBS in 2009. Belanger was featured prominently in that first documentary, which went on to national acclaim. The two have been discussing producing a regular television series ever since.

“New England Legends is made by New Englanders for New England,” said Director and Executive Producer Tony Dunne. “These stories are always evolving as new people discover the hidden caves and mysterious locales that are hidden treasures in our region. We’re taking a snapshot of these stories and showing believers and skeptics alike how these legends help define what it means to be from New England.”

On May 23, 2005, Prophet sent out a press release announcing his Las Vegas Media-Only UFO Summoning Event. In it, he stated that for 45 days, TV camera crews would immediately start filming UFOs that appeared on his signal, if TV stations came and filmed him summoning them. Prophet also said that if the media continued filming his summonings, sometime before the 45 day Las Vegas Media-Only summoning was over, a spaceship would descend and sit in the sky over Las Vegas for a day and a half.

On May 25, 2005, KTNV ABC TV-13, in Las Vegas, NV contacted Prophet to put his summoning abilities to the test. And, on May 26, 2005, Prophet Yahweh met with them about 2:30 PM in Doolittle Park. At that time, Prophet Yahweh was documented calling down two UFOs for their cameras.

The news reporter was Mike Dello Stritto, and the camera man, was Jonathan Hawkins.

Prophet Yahweh made history as the first person to ever call down real UFOs for mainstream television cameras to film.

KTNV ABC TV-13 aired a news segment, hosted by Mike Dello Stritto, to all Las Vegas, showing the two UFOs that were filmed by their camera man, Jonathan Hawkins. One UFO was stationary in the sky while the other flew across Las Vegas. Then, it turned around and came back on the same path.

This was a world class news event that should have gone throughout the earth, but, according to Prophet: “The powers that be stopped the story from being made known because they did not want humanity to find out that UFOs are real!”

After this, Prophet Yahweh found himself completely and totally abandoned, by all Las Vegas media.

And, because of this, Prophet’s attempt to call down the spaceship, for the cameras of mainstream TV stations to film, never happened. The reason why is because none of the Las Vegas media would come film him summoning the spaceship.

Many people felt that Prophet should have called down the spaceship because this would have forced all TV stations to come and film it.

But, Prophet said:

“The spaceship would never have appeared if I was not filmed calling it down. This is what the space beings wanted. They wanted me captured on film with their spaceship so everyone would know that these beings have chosen me to speak for them and no other person.The space beings kept their end of the bargain by sending a real UFO, on my signal, that was documented. But, Las Vegas media refused to film me calling down the spaceship. That’s why it never happened.”

Prophet Yahweh is now calling on all radio and television news and talk shows to allow him to come to their cities and summon sightings for them to document.
